Pilates is a mind body exercise that creates long, lean muscles. A body that is balanced with strength and flexibility is not only more aesthetically pleasing, but is less injury prone. Pilates addresses every muscle in the body. No muscle group is neglected or under-trained. Quality over quantity is the pilates method. Through this controlled movement combined with proper breathing technique, powerful and efficient movement occurs. A strong abdominal core and deep back musculature are developed resulting in a flat, well-defined stomach. Pilates is a gentle but challenging exercise that can be modified for any skill level.
